A term certificate is a long-term savings account that offers a higher rate of interest than the typical savings account. Here’s how it works:

• Open the account with a deposit that is equal to or greater than the required minimum deposit amount.

• Select a term length from our wide range of available options.

• Earn interest on the deposited funds for the duration of the term at the rate that was quoted when the account was opened.

• Incur a penalty when a withdrawal is made on the account before the completion of the term (early withdrawal penalty).
